The Aerium C:62 Race is a high performance machine for ambitious triathletes and time triallists - our solution to the problem of shaving tenths of seconds off your best time. The superior carbon frame and performance-orientated equipment are optimised in every detail, representing the perfect symbiosis of ultimate performance and aerodynamics.
Our development goal with the Aerium C:62 was to produce one of the fastest time trial frames currently on the market. To that end, the light and stiff Advanced Twin Mould carbon frame is constructed with horizontal dropouts. In order to minimise air resistance as much as possible our engineers cleaned up the external appearance of the frame, routing all the cables internally. Whichever way you set up the geometry or seating position, the Aerium C:62 Race will turn every ounce of effort into maximum forward propulsion.
Shimano's Ultegra groupset gives the transmission. Our own Aerium CLS Aero carbon fork with integrated front brake is an aerodynamic masterpiece; it's also pefectly complemented by the Profile T5+ carbon handlebar. Thanks to the adjustable carbon stem and the option of using a seat post with or without offset, this TT racer can easily be set up for any event from the shortest time trial to Ultra Ironman. Profile's 30/Twentyfour wheels complete the high performance package.
Advanced Twin Mold
The Advanced Twin Mold process eliminates any dangerous folding by continuous control of carbon fibers during the curing process. This is made possible by an internal form which gives the perfect frame form during the layup process. Each individual fibre remains precisely in position as it cures. In this way less material can be used as the individual layers can be more accurately and reliably positioned. This production method also makes it possible to increase the carbon fibre proportion in line with anticipated loadings at specific points on the frame. All SUPER HPC models from 2014 on are manufactured using this high-tech method.
Frame Safe System
To protect our high-end aluminium frames from damage, they are built with the CUBE Frame Save System replaceable derailleur hanger. The mounting thread is in the hanger and not in the frame as usual. In case of a crash, this hanger can be easily and quickly replaced by a new one.
Wet Paint Surface
On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.
