A full face is the only way to go when you push your riding. The modern Full Face mountain bike helmet is light and well ventilated but tough enough to protect you from those bigger spills. Troy Lee Designs, Bell, 100 Percent and BlueGrass have some of the best on offer. The more expensive options are made from carbon fiber and favored by the elite from the world of DH racing, but you can pick up some great budget options if you’re new to the sport or it’s not your primary discipline.
